yes I know, but I'm not sure if your problem is the same, but we can
easily find this out:
try from the XP Box:
ping -l 1500 www.yahoo.de
If you get no reply then try decreasing the ICMP packet size (-l switch),
until you get a reply.

ok, but remember that this works ONLY for TCP packets.
BTW: MPD 3.15 will have this patch integrated.
