digital bitperfect stream with snd_uaudio and offsite DAC

am I correct in my reasoning, that by setting-

dev.pcm.0.play.vchans=0
dev.pcm.0.bitperfect=1

and using snd_uaudio I could practically offload
"sound mixing" (and making) from operating system?

Of course there would be USB audio class 
DAC device connected based on Tenor TE7022L 
UAC1.
