No idea, due to lack of hardware. This probably not entirely the fault
of sound driver.
1) Try disabling acpi or apic, or both.
2) Try using driver from http://www.opensound.com/ , and tell us the
result
The worst thing you can do is try installing FreeBSD 5.x i386 (yes,
HP nx6325 + SB450, listen up!) and get 5.x modules from
http://people.freebsd.org/~ariff/lowlatency/sndkld_releng5_i386_lowlatency.tar.gz
There _is_ a reason why I keep updating the modules even for 5.x.
Several nx6325 users (probably others too) reported that using 5.x +
disabling acpi seems the only way to make the sound device works. It
is the fault of super broken vendor BIOS. Much lol ensued.
Perhaps this ASUS P5B has simmilar issues too.
