CURRENT+xorg-7.4 on eeePC 900 && X crashes on shutdown

yes it does; but if you terminate the new X server it crashes again and
you're in the same situation;

I've tested it right now with 'Driver "vesa"'; it comes up and
terminates fine, but only in 800x600 resolution, streched to the screen
of 1024x600 pixel :-(
