Wireless woes

To refresh my addled, post vacation brain:

What version of FreeBSD?
NEWCARD or OLDCARD kernel?
dmesg.boot file?
kldstat output?
kernel configuration file?
pciconf -vl output?
Is any card seen when plugged into the card slot?

This is just a shot in the dark, but is device wlan in the kernel?
