Suspend drains battery on IBM T42

i am afraid that STD does not work under thinkpads and freebsd.
i laso have used radeontool to improve battery draining fault .
few days ago i saw a post that there is somebody that started developing
software-suspend under freebsd - maybe this is our way to get rid of
this problem.....
