You need to boot with the hint declared (See the archives), and ACPI
disabled. Once the install is completed, enable sshd, reboot and use
the DSDT patch with an ACPI dump. That will allow the machine to work
properly. I can confirm this procedure works on FreeBSD 5.4 RELEASE.
