Hi,
I've got said Lifebook, with SXGA+ screen.
When I run the 915resolution-program and try to change the Mode "3c" to
1440x1050, it will not complain, but the mode will still be the old one
when I list the modes and resolutions again.
So Xorg only runs with 1280x1024, which is unusable.
Also, when I start X, it complains about missing agpgart-device:
(EE) GARTInit: Unable to open /dev/agpgart (No such file or directory)
(WW) I810(0): /dev/agpgart is either not available, or no memory is
available
for allocation. Using pre-allocated memory only.
(II) I810(0): Checking Lid status enabled
Is there a reason why it will not detect my I855-chipset?
What can I do?
Here's the dmesg:
