!Well, on my T30 with this patch, I no longer lock up. Suspend and resume
!work, but I do get a disturbing error message:
!pir0: ROUTE_INTERRUPT on resume for link 0x68 failed.
!
!I know pir is the interrupt routing, but I have no idea what link 0x68
!might be. Perhaps a verbose boot would provide a clue.
I had to apply these ata patches, as well,
on my Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100 running 5.3-R.
In my case, upon resume I see the kernel messages:
pir0: ROUTE_INTERRUPT on resume for link 0x62 failed.
pir0: ROUTE_INTERRUPT on resume for link 0x61 failed.
pir0: ROUTE_INTERRUPT on resume for link 0x63 failed.
But everying appears to run fine, just the same.
I did, however, have to stop suspending
the system while X.org (6.7.0) was running.
Although my suspend script tries to change
the virtual console prior to the suspend if X is running,
I was finding that the virtual console wouldn't
change intermittently and the system would become
unresponsive, requiring a hard reset.
After I got back in, I was greeted with a report
about a kernel panic in /var/log/messages due to
the (running) Xorg process.
Since the last reboot (over 2 weeks ago),
suspend/resume have been running fine here.
