Thinkpad 600e interrupt storm

I also just did a fresh install of 5.3 on a 600e (it was previously
running 5.2.1-p{something}) and I can confirm these interrupt storms.
I'm going to turn ACPI off tonight and see if that helps.  It might be a
worthwhile thing for you to try also.
