I bought one of the Fujitsu 6120 Centrino models recently. Nice and
compact, under 2kg, 13" screen and it comes with a built-in optical
drive, unlike the IBM X series. The battery life is a bit disappointing
so I ended up getting a second one to go into the optical drive bay.

It was for a windows using cow-orker so I can't comment on compatibility.
