burncd is unable to fixate on Dell Inpiron 2650

I have similar errors on my Compaq Evo N610c, when using Sony CD-R
media.

Using TDK media, no prob. Probably a bad charge of media, or a general
incompatibility with certain dye or so...

The Sony media burned ok in a desktop, using an old TEAC 55S and
cdrecord... (Well, the 55S did not try to read the ATIP record and
adjust laser intensity according to spec, it always used full power,
newer CD-R try to adjust laser power to the material on the CD-R)
