Yes. I'm using cdrtools (/usr/ports/sysutils/cdrtools) +
xcdroast as a front end. I don't know if it matters or not, but
it connects using the 6 pin connector to the external enclosure
The laptop has a 6 pin firewire connector on the side and the
docking station has a 4 pin firewire connector. I've never
tried using the 4 pin connector since I don't have any 4 pin
devices. Everything works as if it's a standard SCSI device.
