I agree. Even my cheap Siemens SpeedStream 2623 wireless router will
do DHCP on multiple interfaces (WAN and WLAN).

Warner, could you offer more details about this problem?

For example:

1.) When did this happen roughly? 5.x? 4.x?
2.) Any idea why this change was made?
3.) Is there anywhere I could get more specific information about the
    problem itself?
    (specific source code files, handbook info, etc...)

I'd like to at least investigate the possibility of getting this to
work. If it's totally unrealistic, then that's that. But if I could
write up a hack or a fix somehow it'd make life a bit easier for me.
