Wierd X issue.

If you set MAXCONS=8 and your /etc/ttys has ttyv0 to ttyv7 all marked
"on" (the default), there will be no virtual terminal left for X.

So either remove the MAXCONS option or turn ttyv7 off in /etc/ttys (kill
-1 1 afterwards).
