evo n610c pccard trouble

i have a compaq evo n610c laptop. i am running freebsd 5.0-RELEASE-p7.
unfortunately i can't use my u.s. robotics wireless card which was no
problem for my old dell latitude cpx. it was detected as wi0 network
device.

this is what my dmesg says:

i am using a generic kernel.

anyone an idea what i have done wrong?
