phenomenally popular blog. At 500 million page views a month, we deal 
with exciting scalability and reliability challenges every day. As our 
System Administrator you'll be devising clever solutions, managing a 
state of the art server setup, and safeguarding the data of 10 million

- have a degree in Computer Science or a related field
- have 3+ years of experience architecting reliable, scalable systems
- are intimately familiar with MySQL, FreeBSD, networking, and storage 
technology
- keep up on the latest technological developments (SSDs, cloud 
computing, etc...)
- have an analytical mind and like solving open ended decision problems
- understand cost benefit analysis and constrained risk minimization
- have a deep understanding of the Linux or FreeBSD kernel
- understand concepts like caching, swap death, shared libraries, and RAID
- have a detailed understanding of email relaying and spam filtering
- are extremely security conscious
- are an expert at multitasking and prioritization
- strike the right balance between speed and quality
- are passionate about building the best dating site in the world
