Job description
The Core OS team is seeking an energetic, motivated software engineer  
to develop and provide operational support for Apple's Open Source  
infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to have a major impact  
on Apple's open source development process by: working with software  
teams both inside and outside of Apple to enhance and maintain a  
highly collaborative open source development environment (Mac OS  
Forge); evangelizing the needs of the open source community within  
Apple; and, facilitating the adoption of Apple-improvements with  
upstream project maintainers.

Responsibilities:
* Oversee day-to-day operations of Mac OS Forge
* Participate in Apple's open source mailing lists
* Develop web services for open source developers
* Work with Apple teams to assist contributing local patches back  
upstream (i.e. FreeBSD, Apache, FSF, et al.)
* Define and implement processes and tools to assist external  
developers in obtaining, building, and updating Mac OS X's open  
source software
* Automation of open source operational processes

Preferred Experience:
* B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
* Involvement in open source technologies and development communities  
such as Darwin, FreeBSD, or Linux
* Highly professional, with strong written and verbal communication
* Previous experience administering web services (Apache, Subversion,  
Trac, Mailman) on Mac OS X, BSD, or Linux
* Development with scripting languages (PHP, Python, Perl, or Ruby)
