I am seeking a long-term, part time FreeBSD system administrator for a 
complex and fast-growing web site.  Most of the work can be done 
remotely, but occasional trips to the colo facility at 6th Ave & Canal 
Street in Manhattan will be required.  (Yes, REQUIRED!  Please don't 
write to me explaining that most colo facilities provide remote hands or 
whatever.)

Major tasks will be the setup and ongoing optimization of the following
    MySQL database of about 150 GB (and growing!)
    Postgres database
    Apache web servers running mostly Perl/Mason
    GIS software
    Security
    Backups
    Load balancing
    RAID arrays
    etc

Knowledge of Perl programming is a definite plus.  We are offering 
$40/hour plus a free monthly metro card.  We are looking for a 
consistent 20 hours per week, long term.  You may choose your own hours, 
but they need to be regular.
