It’s probably OK for people who want (or rather: need) to run stuff like tomcat55.

Does anybody pay for the maintenance of the FreeBSD JDK port? I mean, either directly by employing/contracting a developer or indirectly by paying for something that needs JDK?
As you mentioned, it’s a lot of work.

Just curious - my employer is not in a position nor has it got the need to do anything like that (unfortunately).
