Printing with java under FreeBSD

Actually, my eclipse doesn't show my printers either (grayed out Print 
menuItem). 
But according to this:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=24796

It is a eclipse + GTK issue and not java.

With the code snipplet I posted, I can see my CUPS printers fine, but as 
stated it throws an exception when it tries to print.
