very quick java/jdk14complie = problem?

	That would be (b).  Apparently with the linux-sun-jdk14
problem.
	Sigh.  Since I've reinstalled linux-sun-jdk14 recently ,,,
let's assume there's something wrong with the Linux emulation.
The maintainer for emulators/linux_base is ports@ - is that truly my
best bet, or is there someone with specific knowledge of the
linux/Java interface I can talk to?
