He said "like".  There are numerous other's out there.  One of them is
healthd.  Some of the monitoring programs require you recompile your
kernel with SMBus support.  FreeBSD 5 has the acpi methods and you can
use "sysctl hw.acpi.thermal.tz#.temperature".
