Using a wireless network with WEP needs to setup the authmode of the key exchange to shared or open.

Wireless NIC:

wi: Intersil Firmware: Primary (1.0.7), Station (1.3.5)

Bring the device up with the option "ifconfig interface authmode shared/open" fails: (everything else works fine only the authmode option is broken)

ifconfig: SIOCS80211: Invalid argument

using authmode without any arguments:

user at host:~$ ifconfig wi0 authmode
ifconfig: ´authmode´ requires argument
