Hey,

Using cvsup for FTP site distribution cause problems in that we have to create the cvsup data file regularly, and the cvsup file-size 2GB limit is a problem, so cvsup is going away for FTP site file mirroring. rsync and ftp will remain for mirroring.

Unless there are (reasonable) objections, I plan to turn off ftp-master cvsupd on June 1st 2011.

If there are any problems, please post followups here (preferred) or send mail to mirror-admin.

ftp-master got more RAM a while ago to handle the extra memory usage by rsync, and if it turns out to be a problem we will find more.

I actually thought we had announced this a while ago, but it seems like nobody ever got to the part of informing mirrors...

NB: This is _only_ related to ftp-master's cvsup, not the FreeBSD source trees etc. via cvsup-master.
