updates from ftp-master are failing...

This is probably something to do with the fact that I rearranged
things in those directories (in an attempt to avoid having to reload
the entire contents, which sounds like it has now failed).

Initially packages-7-current was the directory and packages-7-stable
was a symlink to it.  Yesterday I switched them (using a temporary
directory name).

OTOH from what I'm seeing on ftp4 right now, everything is like I
expect it to be ...
