This is from the xferlog of ftp7.de.freebsd.org of past
three months ...
Top-10 number of downloads from /pub/FreeBSD/doc:
41 doc/de_DE.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/book.pdf.zip
30 doc/de_DE.ISO8859-1/books/faq/book.pdf.zip
27 doc/README
21 doc/de_DE.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/book.pdf.bz2
18 doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/book.pdf.zip
17 doc/de_DE.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/book.txt.zip
16 doc/de_DE.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/book.rtf.zip
16 doc/de_DE.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/book.html-split.tar.zip
15 doc/de_DE.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/handbook.pdb.zip
15 doc/de_DE.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/book.html.tar.zip
Top-10 number of downloads from /pub/FreeBSD/doc/packages:
2 doc/packages/zip-drive.ru_RU.KOI8-R.ps.tgz
2 doc/packages/zip-drive.en_US.ISO8859-1.html.tgz
2 doc/packages/vinum.en_US.ISO8859-1.pdb.tgz
2 doc/packages/unix-introduction.it_IT.ISO8859-15.html-split.tgz
2 doc/packages/storage-devices.en_US.ISO8859-1.txt.tgz
2 doc/packages/releng-packages.en_US.ISO8859-1.pdf.tgz
2 doc/packages/programming-tools.en_US.ISO8859-1.pdb.tgz
2 doc/packages/pr-guidelines.fr_FR.ISO8859-1.html.tgz
2 doc/packages/pr-guidelines.en_US.ISO8859-1.html-split.tgz
2 doc/packages/pam.en_US.ISO8859-1.ps.tgz
Those two downloads of each package seem to come from an
automated dumb mirror, not from a real person. Therefore,
according to my numbers, I would say that you can savely
remove the packages. :-)
BTW, at ftp7.de we're mirroring the doc directory weekly
at Sunday night.
HTH.
Regards
Oliver
