Prepping for 4.9 release

Just so you know...

I think they're getting ready to start posting the betas for 4.9.
At this point it looks like nothing will be removed from what is
currently on ftp-master.  If you have disk space limitations you
might want to start adjusting things on your own to drop the
older release.  If you need any help with figuring out how to
configure cvsup or rsync to do that feel free to ask.
