Yes, I have seen this error on ftp-master.cz and as Jun wrote
to me, he saw it too and he tries to track it down.

I would like to repeat, that ftp-master.cz has still free resources
(mainly for european sites). The more people moving from ftp-master,
the better sync times expect ;o)

Small FAQ:

* ftp-master.cz does carry FTP part, i. e. ftp-master data; it does
  not carry cvsup-master data

* ftp-master.cz offers cvsup/rsync/ftp access (yes, there were several
  problems, especially with learning of cvsup internals and hidden
  sources of problems in cvsup :o(, but looking into cvsupd.log, there
  are just usual "TreeComp failed: Network write failure: Connection
  timed out" errors now;;; small note about permissions 770(640) <=> 775(644):
  when I wrote that they should work on ftp-master.cz with cvsup,
  it wasn't truth yet :o( - I apologize - they have been fixed two
  or three days ago)

* almost everybody with access to ftp-master has access to
  ftp-master.cz, because I have merged ACL from ftp-master
  with local list some day in the past

* until ftp-master.cz is overloaded, it is possible to sync as
  often, as you want (for example, I use every 3 hours on ftp.cz)
