Please mark 4.8 directories unreadable.

  Yes it wasn't earlier today but I have since made it unreadable on
ftp-master.  I'm very glad that the CVS string issue was brought to
our attention in time.  This will make it much easier for users who
try to upgrade with mergemaster(8) in the future after installing 4.8.
