Backup server

  Hi Nick,

It doesn't have 8x pcie - not sure how much a requirement of that is - but
I started with 2 of these for a 24tb raidz2 array w/4Tb drives (on both
primary and backup servers) I built last year and have been very happy with
them.  Asus RS720-E7/RS12-E

 From NewEgg, it came with the optional Pike RAID card (512Mb cache) to
access all drives. Otherwise you're limited to 6 or 8, IIRC. On the primary
server I used 12 SATA, and 'statically' mounted another 2 SSDs internally
(w/ USB to SATA power adapters).  It's large, airy, w/ good performance. 
I really enjoyed working on them.
