Status of SATA port multiplier support for VIA VX800 chipset

Hi all,

I am trying to find out what the status is on port multiplier support
for the VIA VX800 chipset.  I can see that the chipset is supported in
8.0, but I am not able to tell whether the port multiplier features
are implemented.

I can't test this now as I am trying to figure out what board to get
for a low power NAS (I am pegged to VIA for low power and hardware
encryption).
