IBM x3550 and ServeRAID 8k-l

I have no idea about the difference, but it's probably small. The 8k 
model works very well with FreeBSD so this one should also. If you don't 
get any more specific replies on this topic, try to test the hardware 
(possibly via a LiveCD or something) before buying.
