ATA configuration

Hi,

I've recently set my system up in a rather perculiar way, the
mainboard
(an ABIT bx133) has an onboard Highpoint HP370 ATA-100
controller . I connected a Western Digital 120GB Hard disk to
the ATA-100 disk and can boot freebsd of the ATA-100. The
problem with this is that
ATA_STATIC_ID option turned on, then lists the drive as ad4,
which means
at boot time, the system keeps probing for ad0, and my bootup
is basically
stalled for about 60 seconds while the ata driver tries to get
around the
fact that I have no ad0.

I can't get ATA-100 support on ad0 because the Highpoint RAID
controller is setup that way. There are four IDE slots and
only two ATA-100 slots.

Is there any configuration options besides installing a small
boot drive that can be used to get rid of the 60 second stall
on startup.

# atacontrol list
ATA channel 0:
    Master: no device present
    Slave: no device present
ATA channel 1:
    Master: acd0 <CREATIVE CD-RW RW1611E/OCS5> ATA/ATAPI
revision 0
    Slave: no device present
ATA channel 2:
    Master: ad4 <WDC WD1200JB-00GVA0/08.02D08> ATA/ATAPI
revision 6
    Slave: no device present
ATA channel 3:
    Master: no device present
    Slave: no device present

# atacontrol info 2
Master: ad4 <WDC WD1200JB-00GVA0/08.02D08> ATA/ATAPI revision 6
Slave: no device present

Attached is the dmesg output.

Thanks,

- Dave
