3Ware drivers

Hello!

I know that 3Ware makes drivers for FreeBSD 4.8, but do you need drivers 
for the controller under FreeBSD 5.2 or is the built-in driver ok? We 
sometimes have problems shutting down the server where it complains 
about "not being able to destroy device 0".

Two times we've also experienced that BSD hangs during the boot just 
after initializing the 3Ware RAID.

(We have an 8504-controller with a compatible Asus motherboard according 
to the 3Ware-documentation)
