Hello,

This is a very interesting draft, and it would be even better if it could be 
included on the FreeBSD wiki [1], where it can be worked on by more people.

If you don't have an account, it's as simple as emailing wiki-admin at FreeBSD.org 
with your FirstnameLastname (this will become your username) - as soon as they 
see it, they'll send you back a temporary password that you can change once you 
log in. :)

Have you thought about taking this one step further and making a very small 
Linux appliance (ie. just the linux kernel with wpa_supplicant and perhaps a few 
other utilities statically compiled)? I don't know Linux well enough to know if 
it's possible, but it might even be worth trying to set the values of the 
parameters you're changing via kernel environment variables, if that's doable?
