How's a better way to route all outgoing traffic on my old PC which is

manually proxy every application and drop non-tor traffic in pf or use a
transparent proxy? Can transparent proxy work together with manually
proxying every application?

Some years ago I ran squid cache through tor on a data scraping expedition. Setting it up on pfSense is maybe a good idea? Verify that transparent proxy is actually transparent. Back then I had to modify the source to drop some headers. Might be different now.

I know nothing of the dark, however If you are hitting endpoints, believe you are a naked man running through the middle of town in broad daylight.
