Looking for security-related intro project

Hello,

I am looking for a project that would help me get started with contributing
to FreeBSD. I am most interested in something security-related (and as I
need a project for a security class at my university, going for security
would allow/force me to dedicate more time to this). I am aware that
"starting with security" sounds like a horrible idea, and I would like to
try anyway. Non-trivial is OK (in fact, good). Any suggestions?

(BTW, I have seen PR 206607 - Update base OpenSSL to 1.0.2, but that
probably wouldn't be accepted for my school project.)
