Looking for Technical Contact

Hello hackers@,
After browsing the FreeBSD Idea's page, I wanted to look into helping
upgrade the base OpenSSL version that FreeBSD ships with. However, the
idea post seems to be lacking a technical contact, and my experience
with the patch submission process is shady at best. Would anyone know
who to contact about helping to upgrade?
Any advice is very appreciated. Regards,
