This is really far too long a Subject: line for most MUAs. But at
least it got my attention.

I think the real question is "why". Where it's really necessary, we
code in assembler. Anything lower than that is counterproductive.
And for just about everything, C is the best choice. If you can come
up with good arguments for your views, I'm sure people will listen.
