On a clean system, I want /var/db/<category>/<portname> [1] not to be populated with choices for ports which I don't currently use or don't "understand" (wtf does this option do? meh, let's just not screw the options up). This allows (currently) non-installed ports to change options (get new ones or change defaults) without requiring me to confirm those changes at the time I choose to actually install the port.
