setting up snmp for mrtg on localhost

Hi,
This question really should go to questions at freebsd.org in the future,
not hackers at .
I wrote some articles on MRTG and SNMP. Take a look at:

You want either net-snmp-5.1 or ucd-snmp-4, but if you just install
them and try to go you won't be particularly pleased with the results.
SNMP daemons require some basic configuration.
