FreeBSD Port: abiword-3.0.1

Dear maintainer(s),
Yesterday I installed the port Abiword on my computer.
The installation (through "make install") proceeded without error messages.
However, when starting the program, it seems to be unstable.
The screen (see attachments) is flickering between "abiword01.png" and 
"abiword02.png".
Is this a bug in the port or did I overlook something in the 
installation procedure?
