It's not clear what problem this actually fixes.  The only difference in
Makefile.am files I see, it that pathfix patches the path to lib/pkgconfig.
However the framework now automatically moves files in lib/pkgconfig
to libdata/pkgconfig as part of fixup-lib-pkgconfig.  So this doesn't
seem to be necessary any longer.
