XFCE DESKTOP SETTINGS APPLICATION CRASHES AFTER LATEST UPDATES ON 23

Description

XFCE XFDESKTOP-SETTINGS application crashes from all menus but sometimes starts up from the terminal which subsequently crashes while setting it.

The XFCE DESKTOP icons disappear at random....ALL other PC-BSD CONTROL PANEL items are accessible and OK
ALL other applications work OK

The DESKTOP icons disappear at random but are usually present at startup
XFCE Desktop Panels (3) are always OK

SYSTEM IS :FreeBSD 10.1-RELEASE-p8 FreeBSD 10.1-RELEASE-p8 root at amd64-builder.pcbsd.org:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC amd64 using BTX Bootloader under BOOTITNG Boot Mgr. which updates without issues.

TERMINAL RESULTS :

Segmentation fault

Sudo xfdesktop-settings works sometimes then crashes while setting
xfdesktop

Strange that this crash occurs while every other app , control panel
items, Desktop panel. etc  are OK
