Gimp program opens and many of the tools appear to work but if I try to open an
image file with File > Open, Gimp hangs and I must ctrl-C to get it to close.
Gimp starts with this in the console:

GEGL-geglmodule.c-Message: Module '/usr/local/lib/gegl-0.2/ff-load.so' load
error: /usr/local/lib/gegl-0.2/ff-load.so: Undefined symbol "av_read_packet"
