Preferences failures with GNOME 2.26.1

I'm running on:

FreeBSD shumai.marcuscom.com 7.2-PRERELEASE FreeBSD 7.2-PRERELEASE #46:
Sat Apr 18 15:13:13 EDT 2009
marcus at shumai.marcuscom.com:/build/obj/build/src/sys/SHUMAI  i386

And pulseaudio works fine.  Can you upgrade to the latest -STABLE, and
see if the problem goes away?
