 Tried gnome-cd again today (01/21/08) and it again STOPPED after track
 #2. Whilst busy doing other things and not doing anything with/to
 gnome-cd, it all of sudden started playing track #3 after being audibly
 idle for about 2 minutes!@!! FREAKY!! OK - it has now STOPPED after
 track #3. I'll wait a few and see if it JUMPS out at me again with track
 #4 .... Nope - no more playback at this point.
 
 Did a ktrace of the "running" gnome-cd task whilst waiting for it to "do
 something useful", and it appears to be writing out an unending stream
 of null blocks of data. Note that I did not do a ktrace between track 2
 and track 3.
