 Let me rephrase.
 
 It's a dumb idea to install any port into /usr, with an exception of two
 ports designed to be installed this way: sendmail and bind.
 
 Of course the system will allow you to install anything anywhere - it's
 your system, you're the root, you have the powers. Does not make it less
 bad idea.
