I have [finally] started coding HAL for FreeBSD. I have code written by
another FreeBSD user that I am extending. I hope to have something
working by February. Once I have a little more done, I will put it in
my CVS repo, and then others can help.
My main areas of focus right now:
USB umass plug'n'play
devinfo coldplug support
ACPI events
ATA harddrive events
I'm probably not going to be able to flesh all of these out in a
reasonable amount of time, so I will need help once I get a little more
code written.
